Fate McAfee is a solo artist who enjoys collaboration. While most of his live shows are intimate acoustic performances, his studio work is backed by Leonard the Band-- a powerhouse indie group from southern Illinois. His first record was released in March of 2016 and is available at his Bandcamp here:

In late 2017, Fate and Leonard headed back into Loud & Clear Studios in Paducah, KY, to begin working on new material. The ultimate plan is to release two separate albums over the next year. The first, "Diesel Palomino", should be released by late summer 2018. The opening track of which, "Preacherwoman Blues", received a written review from the Tiny Desk team at NPR:
"Paducah, Ky., singer and guitarist Fate McAfee’s 'Preacherwoman Blues' is, as the title hints, a clean and simple blues. McAfee’s laconic vocals and steady fingerpicking are magnetic, and his easy delivery imbues the song’s character with a mischievous sensibility and depth."
