Nearly five decades after Cerulean native Jerry Roberts, a U.S. Army helicopter pilot, was killed in Vietnam on July 5, 1966, his daughter began looking for the men who served with him in combat. Prompted by an out-of-the-blue invitation to a veterans' reunion in 2014, Marti Roberts Lopez pieced together clues to that led her and other family members to connections they had never expected to make. Lopez, who was 15 months old when her father died, will share the story of her research and how she found men who served with her father and what she learned about him from them.
