Inspired by all aspects of living--gains and losses, feast and famine, black and white--the songs of Dave Dick cover both introspective and worldly perspectives through a layered structure of verbal and musical imagery. A nearly lifelong songwriter, he shows no bias when covering any subject matter while offering a time stamp of his experienced history through song.

While gaining decades of experience playing live in all genres of music, Dave found the passion of songwriting to be his underlying frequency in the art. At 18 he moved to nearby Nashville, TN where he recognized the business as something he was not seeking and ultimately moved to Telluride, CO three years later. Here he encountered many of his musical and songwriting heroes first hand with often supporting and encouraging commentary from these gentlemen. A strong local pool of talent here helped him escalate his skills and experience quickly leading to opening spots with many internationally touring artist and a spot at the renowned Telluride Bluegrass Festival where he opened for the super trio of Darrell Scott, Tim O'Brien and Guy Clark. An "honestly beautiful and terrifying experience" this catapulted Dave's focus on the long run of diligent artistry.

Now over a decade later he continues ever more convincingly to manifest material to which almost any person can relate. His first EP "Move to the Woods" is slated to release in early February 2016.
