From Worlds Alike was founded in Clarksville, TN, as a metal band. Eventually, the majority of the band moved slightly south of Nashville and began producing some slightly more mellow vibes, but with a natural eclecticism due to a variety of different influences, from jazz, metal, funk, and rap.
