Soulful, singer-songwriter and troubadour of sorts, Kenny P, is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and now resides in Nashville. He performs full time in Nashville and surrounding states as both an acoustic act as well as with his soulful, 4-piece band. With his powerful vocals and his personal touch of funk, this southern-soul artist certainly brings the groove. He has family roots in a variety of musical genres. When listening to his music you may pick up a southern, story-teller style, similar to Tyler Childers, a bluesy vocal style of Leon Bridges with funky vocal enhancements leaning towards Jason Mraz.

Kenny P attended Arizona State University, studying Music Theater and Vocal Performance. While in Arizona, he wrote and played music, adding to his very particular style as a singer/songwriter. Kenny P later moved back to Cleveland, Ohio where he continued to evolve and perform as both an acoustic artist as well as the lead male vocalist of a popular, high energy cover band, named “Best Band” in Cleveland by Cleveland Scene Magazine.

In 2015, he moved to Nashville, with his wife, Nicole. Kenny P has played the past 6 years at the infamous honky tonks, downtown. He performs at various songwriter rounds in town and writes with local, accomplished songwriters. He was a featured contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2016, on Team Gwen, where he shared his powerful vocals and edgy style.
