The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams, this months Books at the Bar book. I’ll save any narrative for the book club discussion. But here are a few takeaways:
- It took a while for it to become interesting, about halfway through the book.
- I had never thought about the “how” the Oxford dictionary was created. It’s worth the read to have that information.
- Based on the current news, womens rights, freedom of knowledge, etc, the timing of this read was interesting. How far have we really come since the early 1900’s?
