We put the hops in Hoptown.

We love Hopkinsville:  We love Hopkinsville:  It's a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family, but we felt it was missing something: a community craft beer brewery. Breweries have a way of bringing together friends and neighbors. They serve as a destination for communities and an attraction for visitors.

Our Vision:  Hopkinsville Brewing Company was established as the first craft beer brewery in the city's history. In addition to brewing excellent craft beer, we aim to provide the community a destination: a space in which to relax, interact with friends, and enjoy the art and science of craft beer brewing. We are a gathering place of the community, but the brewery also attracts craft beer enthusiasts from throughout the region and facilitates growth of the local commerce.

Our Concept: Hopkinsville Brewing Company is a 5-barrel nano-brewery located in Hopkinsville's Downtown Renaissance District. We distribute some of our offerings to local and not-so-local restaurants, but the rest is served in our taproom. We don't serve food, but we encourage patrons to bring their own carry-out or order delivery from local restaurants or enjoy the variety of mobile food vendors we've arranged right outside our door.

Following nine long months of renovations, we opened our doors over Labor Day weekend, 2016. You can follow our journey from the very beginning in the gallery below!

In the gallery below, you can watch our progress.

It all came together in September of 2016. The renovation was complete, the food trucks were scheduled and the beer was brewed. It was time to open. Our Kickstarter backers were first. What a party! Then we opened to the public and we have been overwhelmed by the support given to us by Hoptown (as the locals call Hopkinsville).

We quickly learned we needed more space for production and people. We purchased the building next door (formerly Upton’s Body Shop) in February 2019 and debuted our expansion in February 2020.
